HYPER-REALISM: Hyper-realism is a genre of painting and sculpture resembling a high-resolution photograph. Hyperrealism is considered an advancement of Photorealism by the methods used to create the resulting paintings or sculptures. Hyper-realists often include preliminary drawings or grisaille painting and molds into their creative process. To achieve that high of a level of accuracy, the artists usually employ photographic slide projections or multi-media projectors onto canvases or other rudimentary techniques like gridding. WHAT IS THE POINT OF HYPER-REALISM? They show the real level of talent of an artist.
